Assets

Assets are tangible or intangible resources that are rendered to your customers. With Assets, it becomes easy for your support center to audit individual product items, and cases resolved upon them.

Introduction

Assets are tangible or intangible resources that are rendered to your customers. When products are shipped to customers, information of individual product item like - Product Number, Serial Number, Date Sold, Customer Name etc. are stored in BzCRM as Asset records. With Assets, you can store specific information about the products your customers have.

Creating Assets Manually

You can enter Asset details manually from Assets Module. This might come handy if you will have to enter Asset details individually.

Steps to Create Asset Records Manually

  1. Click icon
  2. Click Assets under SUPPORT
  3. In Assets tab, click on Add Asset button
  4. In the Create Asset view, fill in the project details
  5. Click Save

Quick Create

You can enter basic details of an Asset record through Quick create. This might be helpful if you are running out of time.

Steps to create Asset records through Quick create

  1. Click icon on top right corner
  2. Click Assets
  3. In the Create Asset view, fill in the Asset details
  4. Click Save

Edit Asset

After the Asset is saved, you can edit it by hovering on a particular field value from the Asset Summary view or Asset Details view. You can even edit it by clicking on the Edit button present on top right corner of the Asset detail view.

Associating Assets with Other Records

This will display all-round view of relations of Assets module with other modules and maintain a log of a complete history.

You can keep track of following details in Assets Module
Related Records Actions
Cases To view cases associated with Asset record
Documents Notes added to Asset record will be displayed as Documents

Import Assets

BzCRM supports importing Assets from external sources such as .csv and .vcf files. As it saves lots of time and efforts, it might come in really helpful for your team to import thousands of records instantly.

Export Assets

If you ever want your data in the form of a spreadsheet, you can export your Assets records right away.

Steps to export your data

  1. Click icon
  2. Click Assets under SUPPORT
  3. In Assets list view, select the records that you wish to export by enabling the check boxes.
  4. Click on More button
  5. Select Export option.
  6. In the Export Records page, you will find the following options
Field Description
Export selected records Click on the radio button to export the records selected in List view
Export data in current page Click on the radio button to export all the records that are on the current list view page
Export all data Click on the radio button to export all records in Assets Module
  1. Lastly, click on Export Assets button.
